Goa Gram Samrudhi Yojana ( GGSY )

Goa Gram Samrudhi Yojana is supplementary scheme to SGRY scheme through which the Village Panchayats will be provided the financial assistance to create durable community, social and economic assets and infrastructural development in rural areas according to their grade.
The State is providing 100% of fund under their scheme. The Panchayats are classified in four categories as per the numbers of elected representatives and accordingly each Village Panchayat is entitled to receive the prescribed amount as under :

A committee is appointed by the Government under the Chairmanship of the Minister for Rural Development will scrutinize the proposals for Administrative sanction received from the Panchayats.
The release of funds is done in running Accounts Bills.
By now 27 Panchayats have been benefited under this scheme.
The total expenditure disbursement made during the year 2005-06 is Rs.61.74 lakhs. The disbursement for the year 2006-07 up to June 2006 is Rs.62.83
lakhs.
